Cinema

chinleyfilmstrip

In 2009, the Community Association set up a community cinema in the Chinley Community Centre on Lower Lane in Chinley and you are welcome to be a part of it!

Films are shown on the 2nd Sunday of every month. Kids’ films start at 3.00 pm with a film for adults shown at 7.00 pm. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Entry to films is free of charge to members and joining is easy – just sign up at your first visit.

The community cinema is organised and run by a group of volunteers who meet approximately quarterly to discuss and plan future films.  If you would like to contact them and/or get involved, or if you have any suggestions for films you’d recommend or like to see then either send an email or come along to a show and ask for more info.

We cannot advertise what films we are showing due to licensing restrictions, except to members, or at the venue. So to find out what films are showing each month look out for the posters at the Community Centre on Lower Lane or:

Refreshments are on sale before the films and in the intermission, although you are welcome to bring your own.

Anyone wishing to help out with refreshments, or with chairs etc before and after the films will be welcomed with open arms (and a nice cup of tea)!
