SUMMERTIME WALK IN THE PARK

It is not a very difficult walk and there is easy access from Stubbins Lane for everyone young and old.  It can be a circular walk from the village via Stubbins Lane, through the gate signposted Footpath, follow the paths through the Park, down the steps by the railway line across the bridge to Lower Lane and back to the village. The Notice Boards have some information about the Park.

The summer meadow is in full flower. Buttercups, two varieties and the purple Hardheads. There are many varieties of grass and some small flowers hiding in the longer grasses but well worth seeking out. The trees now are in full leaf and provide a welcome shade on hot days or shelter on wet ones! The area near the picnic benches is mowed once a month along with the paths through the meadows to make pleasant walking or sitting for a picnic.

There are Litter bins at both ends of the main path. We want you to enjoy the Park but we don’t like to have to clear up after you or your dog.

PLEASE LEAVE ONLY FOOTPRINTS AND TAKE ONLY PHOTOGRAPHS.
